Toppy pallet transfer system “L-Shape Logy” is a fully automatic pallet changer that allows a very quick pallet exchange for stable loads. The lower platform is equipped with roller conveyors so that the machine can be placed in a logistic line keeping a one-direction flow.

 

This Toppy pallet transfer system is equipped with a Sonar centering system on the side perpendicular to the direction of the pallet running.

 

The machine can be equipped with an optional lifting system placed under the lower platform of the pallet transfer system Toppy “L-Shape Logy” in order to equalize the height difference due to the pallet replacement cycle.

 

The system is designed to perform the load transfer cycle from an incoming pallet to a system pallet.

1.FROM WOODEN PALLET TO PLASTIC PALLET : In many companies, there must be a separation between the goods reception area, where the shipping pallet generally made of woods are stopped, to the “white area” of the warehouse, where sanitized pallets (aluminium or plastic) are used. In our range of production there is also multiple dedusting cabins able to decontaminate the products and the air in order to maintain the certified environment.

 

2. SAVINGS AND AUTOMATIC : For companies with large numbers of pallets to handle, we usually recommend pallet transfer systems able to perform with many pallets every hour. Our system reduces the number of operators required for the production process and therefore the cost of labour.

 

3. STANDARDIZATION OF THE INTERNAL PALLET and CENTERING PRODUCTS : Modern production processes increasingly need to standardize all pallets that move products during the production cycle and often also in warehouse, which are usually automated.
Our pallet transfer systems are perfectly suited because they are able to handle heavy goods and / or fragile products, replace new pallets with a used one, and center the product. It is also possible to carry our automatic packaging operations.

 

4. SHIPPING with SLIP SHEET WITHOUT PALLET : It’s essential to save on the transport cost of the shipment of finished products. The pallet represents an important cost for those with a high flow of outgoing products. In addition, without the use of the pallet in the shipment, companies greatly increase the number of products that can be bestowed. Our Inverting pallet transfer systems placed at the end of the production process is able to automatically insert a slip sheet under the load, which will be ready for shipment without the pallet. The pallet stackers will automatically stack all the pallets that were removed.

 

5. SAFETY and WORK REDUCTION FOR OPERATORS : Our pallet transfer system significantly increases safety within the operation process, as the manual work of operators is greatly reduced. Our pallet transfer systems are very safe as they are equipped with advanced safety systems. The access to dangerous areas is controlled by doors with sensors, photocells, or laser scanners in order to prevent dangerous cycles.

 

6. PICKING & AGV: We offer a load transfer system able to automate the composition of the load. The pallet management is automated with the AGV system, in order to facilitate the operator in the composition of the load.

 

7. CLEANING, DEDUSTING AND SANITIZING : In the production range of our pallet inverters, a sanitization or dedusting system can be implemented. We usually supply these systems to companies that need to separate the “white” area from the “grey”. Where necessary, they insert a few particle counters in order to check the cleanliness and sanitization of the air before opening the doors. The main objective is to avoid high numbers of particles that remain suspended in certified atmospheres of UNI EN ISO 14644-1 certified environment (Federal Standard 209D, 209E in the United States).

Below, we describe the pallet transfer system phases needed to replace a wooden pallet with a plastic pallet. Vice versa, an operation can be managed via PLC with the adequate program:

 

The operating logic of the system is illustrated below:

 

1.The origin pallet with the load is driven from the customer conveyor to the roll conveyor equipped on the Toppy “L-Shape” lower platform.

 

2. Due to the hydraulic translation system equipped under the conveyor, the platform is shifted in a perpendicular direction with respect to the load running direction. The origin pallet with the load stops into the Toppy “L-Shape” frame against the back-folding bar. The origin pallet is locked by the pneumatic pallet holding device installed on the lower platform of Toppy “L-Shape”. The lower platform is lifted by the hydraulic system because it is placed under the conveyor in order to equalize the height difference between the origin pallet and the destination pallet (optional). The machine then starts the tilting cycle, and the upper compactor at the same time, Which is controlled by a gear motor placed on the top of the machine. The frame of Toppy “L-Shape” and the lower platform perform the tilting cycle from 0° to 105°. In this position, the load is locked between the 2 side platforms and covered by rubber protection.

 

3. The system detects the load size. With this info, the destination pallet will be placed in a central position with respect to the load on the side perpendicular to the direction of the pallet running. The lower platform, holding the original pallet, performs the tilting cycle from 105° to 0° while the load is locked inside the Toppy “L-Shape” frame and by the 2 side platforms. Due to the hydraulic system placed under the conveyor (optional), the lower platform goes down at the pallet transfer system-height. Thanks to the hydraulic translation system, the platform is shifted in the perpendicular direction with respect to the pallet running direction, in order to align the conveyor equipped on the lower platform with the customer logistic line.
The original pallet without the load is released by the pneumatic pallet holder device and then is driven from the roll conveyor equipped on the lower platform to the customer conveyor.

 

4. The destination pallet without the load is driven from the customer conveyor to the roll conveyor equipped on the Toppy “L-Shape” lower platform.
The destination pallet is locked by the pneumatic pallet holder installed on the lower platform of Toppy “L-Shape”. Thanks to the hydraulic translation system equipped under the conveyor, the platform is shifted in a perpendicular direction with respect to the pallet running direction. Thanks to the sonar system the destination pallet is placed in a central position with respect to the load (only in a perpendicular direction with respect to the pallet travel direction).

 

5. The lower platform performs the tilting cycle from 0° to 105° and places the destination pallet under the load. The load is released by the 2 side platforms and the Toppy “L-Shape” frame with the lower platform perform the tilting cycle from 105° to 0°. The upper compactor is lifted by the gear motor placed on the top of the machine, in order to release the load, thanks to the hydraulic translation system, the platform is shifted in perpendicular direction respect to the pallet running direction, in order to align the conveyor equipped on the lower platform with the customer logistic line. The destination pallet with the load Is released by the pneumatic pallet holder device.
In this position, the destination pallet and the load are at the height of the roll conveyors.

 

6. The destination pallet with the load exits from the Toppy “L-Shape” and is driven from the roll conveyor equipped on the Toppy “L-Shape” lower platform to the customer conveyor. 

The MEKKANO gate combines with the components for the EASY BARRIER perimeter protection overcoming the limits of welded framing.

 

Using the pre-painted elements and original connecting systems with screw fastening, it is possible to assemble gates of different width in a rapid and clean way, making them ready to be installed. With the same elements, the MEKKANO gate can be prepared in the right or left configuration, with outward or inward opening.

 

All the configurations of the gate can be obtained either for the version with the upper support or without it. The high strength of the connecting elements makes the structure as rigid as a classic welded frame.
